Project Details
A Canadian rail company needed to abandon old corrugated steel culverts failing under their railways. FillFoam Canada built a 50 ft injection nozzle and capped the far end of the 75 ft culvert. Foam was pumped from 25 ft from the end until it pressurized and came out the exhaust port. The nozzle was then pulled back 10 ft at a time as filling progressed. This approach eliminated heavy equipment requirements, traffic control, and environmental concerns associated with concrete slurry, completing the project in approximately 2 hours per culvert.
