What is FillFoam™ Made Of?
FillFoam™ is an organic material that is a resin-blown foam. This foam is nitrogen-rich and harmless to the environment. Nitrogen is not toxic; 78% of the air we breathe contains this gas.
FillFoam™ is lightweight, durable, solvent-free, non-toxic, inert, non-flammable, and rot-resistant to salt and fresh water. FillFoam™ is developed by combining three components: air, resin, and a hardener.
The Advantages of How FillFoam™ Compares to Alternatives
Less Invasive Installation
The process of installing FillFoam™ is less invasive to the environment because there is minimal on-site excavation. Once installed, some formulas of FillFoam™ can stabilize the soil without disturbing or redirecting natural water flow; other formulas can stop the water flow.
Reduced Transportation Impact
FillFoam™ is transported as a concentrate. Requires less trucking and transport pollution than other alternatives.
Water Management
FillFoam™ can absorb and hold water from surrounding soils over-saturated by water. The water can be retained until it is drawn out from soils or plant life requiring water. Carrying the extra weight from water does not impact the strength or structure of the foam.
Supports Plant Growth
In addition to filling voids and stabilizing soils, versions of FillFoam™ can be used to support plant growth. FillFoam™ products can increase watering efficiency by storing water and nutrients essential to healthy plant growth. Formula options can be biodegradable and are the perfect substrate for agricultural uses.

Environmental Impact of HMI Polyurethane Foams
HMI Foams are made with recycled and bio-based materials, making them the "greenest" polyurethane foams on the market. The American Society for Testing and Materials standards (ASTM) stated this recycled material is the best foam available for raising concrete and stabilizing soils.
